The Nuc seems to get started (I get the blue light) but I cant get into the target mode. Support Communities / Desktop Computers / iMac Looks like no one’s replied in a while. Ive connected it to my iMac using a thunderbolt cable. Mainly I will use it for graphic design and video editing. I bought an intel Nuc ( DC53427HYE), RAM, SSD etc and now Im trying to power it on and install Ubuntu. The iMac "Core i5" 2.8 21.5-Inch Aluminum (Late 2015/Broadwell) features a 14-nm "Broadwell" Quad Core 2.8 GHz Intel "Core i5" processor (5575R) with four independent processor "cores" on a single chip, a 4 MB shared level 3 cache, 8 GB of onboard 1867 MHz LPDDR3 SDRAM (which could be upgraded to 16 GB at the time of order, but cannot be upgraded after system purchase at all), a 1 TB (5400 RPM) hard drive, and an "integrated" Intel Iris Pro 6200 graphics processor that shares system memory. ![]() The iMac "Core i5" 2.9 21.5-Inch Aluminum (Late 2013/Haswell) features a 22 nm "Haswell" Quad Core 2.9 GHz Intel "Core i5" (4570S) processor with four independent processor cores on a single chip, a 6 MB shared level 3 cache, 8 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 SDRAM (which is not intended to be upgraded after purchase), a 1 TB (5400 RPM) hard drive, and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics processor with 1 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory. If I would decide to buy an used iMac which one do you think has greater performace?
